Russell and Natasha met each other on the Internet back in 1997.  They became good friends in February 1998, and met for the first time IRL (In Real Life) on Natasha's 19th birthday in April 1998.  Russell asked Natasha to go out with him a week later, and 5 weeks later he asked her to marry him.  

Natasha, as you could probably guess, was quite shocked and told Russell that she would give him her answer in August, after they'd gone on holidays.  About a month later (early July), she said 'yes'.  They were married in February 1999 at St Anne's Anglican Church in Merrylands, NSW.

Russell originally lived in Seven Hills, NSW and Natasha lived in Monash, ACT.  As you can probably guess, there was a bit of weekend travel happening for about 6 months, when Natasha decided she'd had enough of commuting to see her fiancée, and she then promptly moved up to Sydney a week later (early October).

Natasha got a job within a privately owned company in her first day as a Sydney resident, and stayed there for three and a half months, when she decided she'd had enough of the city and resigned.  Russell and Natasha were married 3 weeks later, and flew to Tasmania for a week on their honeymoon.

When they returned Natasha decided that she wasn't really all that happy in Sydney, and managed to convince Russell to move down to Canberra with her.  They lived in Canberra for another 22 months when all of a sudden, out of the blue, Natasha became pregnant.  9 months later (in November 2001) Curtis Jeremiah Weatherburn was born.
